Food is so beautiful in the summer.😍 I’ve been focusing on nutrient-dense, local, or homemade foods whenever I can for the past year, and my love for food has only grown. I thrive on the energy and focus these foods give me (and my family). And it’s so fun to craft food! It might seem weird to take on more homemade food crafts with four kids, but it’s a hobby they can help with sometimes, I don’t have to go outside and spend time getting to the project, and it means I don’t have to go shopping as much.
I canned a few jars of black raspberry jam the other day—my first time doing it all by myself. I’ve done it a hundred times with my mom and sisters, but it feels good to do it myself. I’ll save them for the dead of winter when I need something tasty.😋

I’ve reached the same word count on PROJECT SPIR

I’ve reached the same word count on PROJECT SPIRALDOWN three times in the past few weeks. I’m cutting scenes, adding in scenes with tighter writing, and changing my mind about things that seemed important in my first rough draft.

It’s still progress, and it feels good to reach 42,000 yet again. 😁
